Narok County is in Kenya's Rift Valley region, occupying an area of 17,921.20 Km2. It is named after Enkare Narok, the river flowing through Narok town. Its capital and largest town is Narok Town. The temperature range is 12 to 28 0C and the average rainfall range of 500 to 1,800 mm per annum. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in Narok County. It is also home to the Great Wildebeest Migration. It constitutes 6 sub-counties: Kilgoris, Narok North, Narok South, Narok East, Narok West and Emurua Dikirr
